Image The South Luangwa Valley has one of the highest animal concentrations in Africa.

There are four bush camps, all within walking distance of each other, allowing you to choose, to experience each camp individually, walk through the park by day and camp at a new location at night or to relax for the entire duration of your stay in the camp of your choice. On offer is the opportunity to see the wonders of the African Bush, but to feel, smell, hear and touch the ancient continent at its most unspoilt.

This is where walking safaris began and the beauty, remoteness and unparalleled quality remains to this day. It awaits those who seek an experience that is truly breathtaking in the extreme and those who wish to live wild and away from all of the world's distractions. Instead of the conventional experience of yet another exhilarating game drive, game guides and game scouts will take you on an unforgettable journey, on FOOT, through the magnificent wonders of the untouched African bush.

The Bush Camp Company offers you the opportunity not only to see the wonder of the African bush, but also to feel and smell and hear and touch the ancient continent at its most unspoilt.

All camps are ideal for small groups seeking a heightened personalised wilderness experience.
The guides, who are extremely knowledgeable and have professional qualifications, will ensure your trip is both safe and thrilling. They will afford you personal attention whilst introducing you, not only to the obvious delights of the big five, but also to the more complex and fascinating details of wildlife activity and habitat 'on the ground'. They will also provide insight as how to track spoor, to listen for warning sounds of predators approaching, to know and distinguish medicinal plants…. The list is as long as your curiosity is wide!

In all the camps the staff will do their utmost to ensure you have a pleasant stay. If you have any specific areas of interest i.e. birds, trees etc. please advise them so that they can concentrate on those areas. Whilst out on safari, do not hesitate to ask the guides questions, or to request them to stop. They are trained observers of nature, and they care deeply about the ecology and environment of the South Luangwa National Park.

Library: There is a small library of books in each camp. These are for your use whilst staying in that camp. Please feel free to make full use of the books to increase your knowledge and enhance your stay.
