Chendeni Trail Camp is a sister camp to Bilimungwe but has an altogether different theme and character. The tented camp nestles on the apex of a permanent oxbow lagoon, offset by the magnificent view of the Chendeni Hills.

This is the ideal spot for both the avid and intrepid Game spotter as well as the more relaxed visitor who wishes to observe nature at it's best without too much personal effort. The lush and wide permanent lagoon which stretches out from just beneath your own balcony ensure that you need make little effort as you lazily watch all types of game join you in the joys of the verdant pantry at your feet.

Raised on wooden decking, Chendeni's four en-suit tents provide all the luxury you need to relax completely. Each tent has its own raised veranda from which to view the resident game and the serene yet breathtaking tranquillity of the vast lagoon, from a vantage point of total isolation. Ancient ebony trees with their sweet fruit shade the bar and dining area and an adjacent walkway provides access to a lagoon-side retreat. From here, guests can enjoy dining experience or the spectacular sundown as it reflects from the still waters of the lagoon.

Chendeni is located 6 km from Bilimungwe. An early morning walk between the camps is an ideal opportunity to enjoy two of our trail camps in one stay. The seclusion of your stay and the abundant wildlife combine to make this luxury camp experience not to be missed.
